HOW TO USE FACEBOOK (BASICS)

Introduction:

For those new to Facebook, navigating its features might seem overwhelming. Here’s a basic guide on how to use Facebook to connect with friends and family and explore content from around the world.

1. Create a Facebook Account:

  • Navigate to Facebook.
  • Click on “Create New Account”.

  • Click “Sign Up” and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the registration process.

2. Set Up Your Profile:

  • Click “Post” to share it with your friends.

5. Interact with Posts:

  • Scroll through your News Feed to see posts from friends and Pages you follow.

  • Click on the three dots in the top right corner of a post to find more options like Save Post or Hide Post.

6. Join Groups and Like Pages:

  • Use the “Search” bar to find Groups and Pages that interest you.
  • Click “Join” to become a member of a Group or “Like” to follow a Page.
  • Interact with posts within Groups and Pages to be a part of the community.

7. Explore Facebook Features:

  • Messenger: Use it for private, real-time conversations with friends.
  • Marketplace: Buy, sell, or browse items locally.
  • Watch: Discover a variety of videos from creators around the world.
  • Events: Find local events, RSVP, and connect with others attending.

8. Set Your Privacy Settings:

  • Go to “Settings & Privacy” in the drop-down menu in the top right corner.
  • Click on “Privacy Settings” to control who can see your information and posts.
  • Review and customize your settings to suit your comfort level.

9. Manage Notifications:

  • Go to “Settings & Privacy” > “Settings” > “Notifications”.
